From Rural Kenya to Tech Innovation
Growing up in rural Kenya, Gakinya Elizabeth witnessed firsthand the struggles of smallholder farmers. Families lost entire fish harvests due to poor pond conditions—losses that meant school fees went unpaid and livelihoods suffered.
Determined to make a difference, Elizabeth pursued engineering and specialized in IoT. Her heart, however, remained with the communities that raised her.
In 2024, she founded Trident Analytics, a climate-tech company building tools, training, and market access so smallholder farmers can thrive.
